Since 2006, ABC, in partnership with L'Oréal and Unesco, annually awards with a Scholarship-Grant Aid worth 20 thousand dollars, Brazilian women scientists who have recently obtained their doctorate degrees, and have high merit scientific projects to be developed within national institutions for a period of 12 months.
The judgment of the merit is done by a jury composed of eight researchers indicated by the Brazilian Academy of Science (ABC), one representative from Unesco, one representative from L'Oréal, and is presided by a member of the Board of Directors from ABC.
Were awarded Ana Luiza Cardoso Pereira (Unicamp), Josimari Melo de Santana (UFS), Mariana Antunes Vieira (UFPEL),Tatiana Barrichello (Unesc) and Viviane Ribeiro Tomaz da Silva (UFMG).
The winners were Audrey Cysneiros (UFPE), Bruna Romana de Souza (UFRRJ), Christiane Matté (UFRGS), Kathia Honório (USP), Lucimara Martins (Universidade Cruzeiro do Sul), Patricia Schuck (Unesc) and Simone Appenzeller (Unicamp).
The awarded were Alexandra Ioppi Zugno (UESC), Annelise Casellato (UFRJ), Elysandra Figueredo (USP), Flavia Carla Meotti (UFSC), Lea Tenenholz Grinberg (USP), Sheila Cavalcante Caetano (USP) and Valeria Cristina Sandrim (Santa Casa-BH).
The winners were Adriana Fontes (UFPE), Carolina Bhering de Araujo (IMPA), Crestina Susi Consorti (UFRGS), Daniela Dornalles Rosa (Fêmina-RS), Janine Inez Rossato (PUC-RS), Luciana Gonzaga de Oliveira (Unicamp), Lucielli Savegnago (Unipampa) and Maria Augusta Arruda (UERJ).
Were awarded Andrea de Camargo (USP), Glaucia Martinez (UFPR), Ida Schwartz (UFRGS), Lucia Codognoto (UEM), Monica Andersen (Unifesp), Tatiana Rappoport (UFRJ) and Wang Qiaolin (UnB).
The winners were Alessandra Bruno (UFRGS), Lisiane Porciúncula (UFRGS), Sayuri Miyamoto (USP), Solange Fagan (Unifra) and Yraima Cordeiro (UFRJ). Tatiana Rappoport received an Honorable Mention.
