Global Network of Academies of Sciences (IAP)

Previously called InterAcademies Panel (IAP - acronym kept after the name was changed), it is a network of 104 scientific academies destined to support the participation of its members in important international forums on ST&I.

InterAmerican Network of Academies of Sciences (IANAS)

Founded in the spirit of IAP in 2004, it is a regional network of academies of sciences created to support the cooperation n the Americas, aiming towards the strengthening of science and technology for the advancement of research, prosperity and equality in the region.

InterAcademy Medical Panel (IAMP)

This is a voluntary association created in the year 2000 composed by the medical divisions of the Science Academies and by the Academies of Medicine, engaged in improving health around the world.

G8 + 5

The G8+5 group gathers the leaders of the eight most powerful countries of the world (G8) and the five emerging countries of great prominence in the international arena, aiming towards debating the great decisions in the field of international politics.

World Science Forum (WSF)

Is a global dialogue forum about Science, its role and its responsibilities in the 21st century, it takes place in Hungary every two years.

Science Technology and Society Forum (STS Forum)

The STS Forum gathers annually, in Japan, politicians, businessmen, scientists and the media of the entire world to discuss the progress of science and technology for the future of humanity.

International Council of Scientific Unions (ICSU)

Founded in 1931 to promote international scientific activities for the benefit of humanity, it is one of the oldest non-governmental organizations in the whole world.

InterAcademy Council (IAC)

An entity created to provide counseling to international, multinational and national government organizations about issues of regional and global importance, it promotes studies and issues publications.

Academy of Sciences for a World Under Development (TWAS)

Created in 1983, with the name of Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) and located in Trieste, in Italy, it has a mission of promoting ST&I in the countries under development, and counts with the best scientists of these nations.
